Gay Marriage
Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that Obama finally endorsed gay marriage.
But don’t you think that he could’ve done it a week earlier, like when his VP did? He lost a valuable opportunity to use it to campaign against Amendment 1, which not only takes away gay marriage but civil unions and major domestic violence protections. Seems like an reactionary empty statement...

C’mon graduation money…
Dogs
I’m thinking about getting a dog when I can afford one. Trying to decide between a Beagle, Basset Hound, a Choco Lab, or a Golden Retriever.

Maybe the best Obama metaphor I've seen
Even after three years in office, Obama remains a political Rorschach test. His friends still project their brightest hopes on him. His enemies still project their deepest nightmares.

Not the best idea
From http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/election-2012/post/romney-addresses-business-leaders-talks-cars-at-detroit-stadium/2012/02/24/gIQAJ3fCYR_blog.html?hpid=z2
“A campaign spokeswoman did not immediately respond to a request for a full inventory of the Romneys’ vehicles.”
Not sure if you’re trying to appeal to the middle class that this is the best way to go.

Hey Guys
Be sure to check out Joseph Arthur’s new album, Redemption City! He used to be my favorite artist and he’s a total baller. He’s giving it away for free!

I haven’t taken a study drug larger than 30 mg since sophomore year. Just took a 70 mg Vyvanse (didn’t realize it at the time) at 3:45 in order to write a lengthy, lengthy paper on the philosophical concerns about medicinal marijuana. I’m now super emotional (I misssssss Bonnaroo and the Tennessee sun! Can’t wait to go back next year! Ticket purchased! Woo!) and...

Justin Vernon and all of his projects (‘cept for any rap he touches) are great work music. Gayngs, Bon Iver, solo, it’s all good.

I freak out about a good setlist.
Best kind of setlists:
- vary night to night
- new, unique openers and possible covers
- opportunities to shred (though not just an elongated jam, Phish fans)
Worst kind of setlists:
- the exact same every night (I’m looking at you, Black Keys)

Way to go, Wilco.

Steve Jobs
I’m typing on my MacBook Pro and listening to my iPod. RIP, Steve Jobs. A true innovator.

Gatsby believed in the green light, the orgiastic future that year by year recedes before us. It eluded us then, but that’s no matter — tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther…and one fine morning—so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
Faux Facebook Activism is Bullshit.
After discovering that the pro-democratic revolutions throughout the Middle East widely used Facebook and Twitter in the organization and effectiveness of the rallies, critics celebrated the apparent peak of social networking. With stories like those, along with Facebook being an integral part of the Obama campaign’s successful grassroots organizing, it’s easy to see why Mark Zuckerburg’s...
